All students, Kindergarten to Grade 5, in the East Freedom, Martinsburg, and Roaring Spring elementary schools have library class every six days. Library classes involve reading stories, sharing stories, learning library skills, hands on activities and sharing a love for reading and literature.
Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 check books out of the library for pleasure reading. Kindergarten students do not ususally start to check out books until October. Students are expected to return their previously checked out books before they can select new books to borrow.
Fines are not given on late books. If a book is lost or damaged, the librarian will charge a fee for the book. Payment in cash or by check (made out to Spring Cove School District) may be made to the librarian. If a lost book is later found, the payment made will be refunded. The returned book needs to be in borrowing condition.
