1. Students will see the steps to create a 1-point perspective drawing.
2. Students will see the techniques for creating the illusion of depth in a drawing.
3. Students will discover how to use both geometric and organic shapes to create a landscape
drawing.

Objectives:
1. The students will see how positive and negative spaces relate in portraits.
2. They will create a pencil drawing from a worksheet assignment.
3. They will create a charcoal portrait drawing of their choice, utilizing the information gathered by
the worksheet assignment.

Objectives:
1. Students will study the differences and similarities of uses for masks throughout
cultures around the world and in history.
2. Students will learn basic procedures for making a mask in clay.
3. Students will learn how to embellish their mask with non-clay material.
4. Students will write a short paragraph describing their mask and why they designed the
way they did.
