Vision exam
All 8th graders in the state of Pennsylvania are screened for near and far vision in the fall of the year. If your child fails either of these screenings, you will be notified to have your child's eyes further examined by an optometrist or optician.

Height and Weight
All eighth grade students are weighed and measured during phys ed class in the first week of school. Based on this information you will be notified of your child's BMI in a letter with an explaination of it's meaning in their report card envelope usually third marking period.
