We are very excited about the new Social Studies text books we have this year! In third grade, Social Studies also becomes a much more integral part of the curriculum. We will be covering a variety of topics and subjects and the students will be assessed in the material that we cover. We will not necessarily be covering the content in the order that it appears in the textbook since some chapters may tie in with our reading curriculum or other area. Please check with your child to see which topic we are currently covering.
If you or someone you know has some expertise (and I mean any knowledge that you could share…you don’t have to know everything!) in any of these areas that we will be talking about, we would love to have you come into our class to share your knowledge and experiences with us.
