Spelling:

The students will have 15 words each week to study. A pretest will be given on Monday and the regular test on Friday.

Reading :

The students will be working in Guided Reading groups to help build fluency and comprehension skills. They will also participate in many shared reading activities and independent reading practice to help promote a love of reading.

Writing :

The students will engage in a variety of writing activities throughout the year. Some writings will be done as a class and others will be done independently.
