Reading Recovery is an internationally recognized and research based program of instruction. In order to become a certified Reading Recovery teacher it is necessary to complete a year long course of instruction and supervision by a Reading Recovery Teacher Leader. The objective of Reading Recovery is to promote accelerated learning so that students catch up to their peers, close the achievement gap as quickly as possible, and can benefit from classroom instruction without supplemental help.
