Accelerated Reading
|
| In Room 201, fifth grade students practice reading independently. The only way to become a better reader is to practice. Students are expected to read 30 minutes a day. This is the minimum amount of reading; everyday is encouraged. The reading selection is up to the student. It is helpful to reach the student goal of 25 books this year. On the IRP calendar the student is required to write the title, starting page and finishing page in thirty minutes. |

Students are expected to keep a book log of their independent reading in their reading binder with a goal of 25 books read for the year!
After a student has logged their book, they can write the title, author, and their name on a paper star that we put on the classroom's ceiling.
