"Booted-Out" Behavior
Classroom rules are an important part of a child’s educational experience. Rules allow us to clarify what behaviors we expect from the students and what they can expect from us in return. The goal of our class rules is to have a fair and consistent way in which to deal with all students. We work together the first day of school determining what expected behaviors would allow us to work most efficiently and allow more time for on-task learning.
Classroom Rules:
-
Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
-
Raise your hand and wait to be called on.
-
Listen to teacher directions.
-
Respect others property.
When rules are broken the following consequences occur:
-
Warning is given to the child.
-
First offense – 5 minutes are lost from recess
-
Second offense – 10 minutes are lost from recess
-
Third offense – 15 minutes are lost from recess and parent is notified via note or phone call
Students who comply with the rules receive:
-
Praise
-
Small rewards (stickers, etc.)
-
Positive notes
