Social Studies

This year we will be using a new social studies series: People We Know which is published by Harcourt.  There are six units we will be studying throughout the year:

Marking Period 1:  Governing the People

Marking Period 2: People Long Ago

Marking Period 3: The World Around Us and A World of Many People

Marking Period 4: Using Our Resources and People in the Market Place

The children will not be using individual textbooks.  We will be using big books and doing a lot of shared reading.  Here is a link to the new series web site:
