Classroom Rules
Our class has developed the following five rules on the first day of school. These will be our classroom rules for the entire school year.
1. Follow the I-Care Rules posted in our room.
2. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
3. Move quietly in Martinsburg Elementary School.
4. Raise your hand and wait to be called upon.
5. Finish all of your work.
Discipline System
We have made classroom rules together as a group on the first day of school. They are posted in the classroom. When a rule is broken, the student's name is placed on the board. After the second rule is broken, a check is placed by the student's name and the student owes 5 minutes of recess. If a third rule is broken, the student owes 15 minutes recess and a note is sent home that must be returned the following day. If the note is not returned, then I will call home. This is done on a daily basis.
