Happenings at MES!

Tshoemaker students

Third grade students in Mrs. Shoemaker's class introduce themselves to college students at Lafayette College in Easton, PA.   Spring Cove students will be actively involved in Project C.A.R.E.(Creating Awareness and Respect for the Environment).  Student partners from Lafayette College will be traveling to New Zealand and Australia to explore a variety of environmental topics.

Shoemaker 2

Mrs. Shoemaker and her students meet their partners for Project C.A.R.E. through the use of a webcast.  Mr. Arlin Roth, school district Instructional Technology Supervisor, assisted during the introductions.   Technology including e-mail, webcasts, and video conferencing will keep both groups of students connected throughout the project.

Blair County

Fourth grade Blair County Projects have been on display for several weeks.  Students always look forward to creating a project that demonstrates their understanding of early life and important historical sites in Blair County.

4th Grade Blair County

Some of the projects that are pictured include models of Fort Roberdeau, conestoga wagons, horn books, quilts, and the Portage Railroad.
