Homework Policy
Homework is given as a review of the work covered in class, or
to prepare for an upcoming test. It could also be in the form of a long term project to extend learning. It is not given as punishment. Homework has value and is given to help your child succeed in class. We feel it also helps teach responsibility and develops positive, long lasting study habits.
Students’ assignments will be writen in their red assignment books each day. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure they bring home the correct materials to complete their assignments. Homework will vary in length. Students should be spending an average of 30-40 minutes a night on it. The student is expected to turn in their homework the next day unless told otherwise. If it is not turned in on time, they will receive a zero. Homework could be graded so students are expected to do their best on it.
