The use of digital cameras along with word processing, aides in making classroom books. These books have been about themselves, rhymes, seasons, opposites and describing objects.
The clip below is currently a work in progress. The children are to take a picture of a sign of spring using the mini digital cameras that were awarded to me through a Venture Grant funded by the Spring Cove Education Foundation. When all of the photos are complete, they will upload their picture to their own individual hard drive space. After the completion of the book, it can be shared on this site and/or be printed where the student can take it home and share it with friends and family. Finally, after the book has been shared throughout the class, the book can become part of the classroom library or each child can individually take their piece of work home for themselves.
