What is netTrekker d.i.?
netTrekker d.i. is a search engine for schools that includes more than 180,000 educator-selected online resources organized by readability level and aligned with state standards.  In addition to the standard web page search, netTrekker d.i. also offers searches by timeline, famous person, and image.  Searches can be saved and shared with students and other teachers.

Who can use netTrekker?
The PA Department of Education is currently providing netTrekker for use by all Pennsylvania teachers and students.  The program is web-based and can be used at school or from home at no cost to our district.

How can my students access netTrekker?
Click the netTrekker link on the SCSD home page and use the login information for your building:
EFE User Name: efe student   Password=dragons
RSE User Name: rse student   Password=dragons
MES User Name: mes student   Password=dragons
SCMS User Name: scms student   Password=dragons
CHS User Name: chs-student   Password=dragons

What login should teachers use?
Teachers can use the student login for their building.  Individual teacher accounts are also available for teachers who want to save searches that will be saved under their own account rather than the shared account.  To request a netTrekker login submit a request using the IT HELP DESK link on the district web page.

When will training be available?
With a netTrekker login, teachers have access to a variety of training materials through the Help link.  District-wide training will be available as part of the summer technology training.  Building-level training can be arranged if there are teachers who are interested.  Contact your principal and submit a request using the IT HELP DESK link on the district web page to request building-level training.

Online training videos can be found in the netTrekker Help menu under the Atomic Learning heading in the Professional Development.  An online tour/demo is also available.
