Nine students from CHS attended the Eighth Annual Business Day at St. Francis University on Friday, March 14. Lorena Henry, Cody Yingling, Stephanie Treece, Kristy Jackson, and Hillary Amick competed as Team 1. Zach Bumbarger, Nick Hamming, Jordan Huntsman, and Devin Miller competed as Team 2. They spent the morning creating an International Trade agreement, making a business ethnics chart for a company of their choice, and finally they competed in public speaking presenting the business they created. Following the morning competitions, they enjoyed lunch at the John F. K. Student Center. CHS Team 2 was honored to be one of the top four teams (out of the nine competing) who were eligible to compete in the semi-final competition round entitled the “Business Bowl.” Two teams competed against each other answering business/economics type questions. CHS was unable to win against the team from Richland High School and placed second in the event. It was a great educational experience for CHS’s outstanding business students and an event that we hope to engage in annually.
