Communication Classes

My courses of study at Central include honors communications 11, college preparatory communications 11, and applied communications 11.

Honors Communications 11-

This course is our most challenging level of study in the area of communications during the junior year. The prerequisite for the course is succeessful completion of Honors Communication 10 or teacher recommendation and demonstration of ability through a challenging communications test.

College Preparatory Communications 11-

This junior level course is designed to prepare the student for the communication needs in the future college endeavor.

Applied Communications 11-

This course is designed to prepare business and technical students for future communication needs in technical schools and on the job.

As do all other communication courses at Central High School, these three courses encompass the areas of both written and oral communication as well as listening. A variety of genres of literature are included in all studies. Journals are required in all three classes. An emphasis is placed on vocabulary building according to the specific level of study.
