Basic Guidelines*
PHYSICAL EDUCATION GUIDELINES
1.
The standardized Spring Cove Physical Education uniform is a requirement for all students taking physical education. Anyone not properly attired will not bepermitted to participate in class activity. No street or school clothes / shoes will be permitted. Sweat clothing will be permitted during cold weather for outside. *(
No writing on/or torn shirts)
2.
Get to class on time
. Tardy to class (you must have a pass.)
3.
Teacher supervision
must be present before any activity can take place. (Gym, weight room, field or track.)
4.
Report all accidents or injuries to your instructor immediately
.
5.
Safety rules
must be obeyed at all times.
No Horseplay in locker room.
(Ex. Fighting, pushing, towel sapping, water spraying)
Think before you act!
6.
Abuse
of equipment and property will result in payment for any damage done. No food or drink. No tobacco.
7.
A medical excuse sighed by your doctor, chiropractor, or pt. is the only excuse
exempting a student from class activity. Also a doctor’s excuse is
needed to return toclass
.
8.
All students participating in a sport are required to take physical education. (Game day no exceptions).
9.
All students are responsible for their personal belongings.
Please lock your locker.
10.
The locker room door should be used to enter and exit for physical education class. Students must stay in locker room after shower bell rings. You cannot leave class through the gymnasium.
11.
No one
is to be in the gymnasium or locker room unless you have a scheduled class. Students must ask permission to leave or enter gym or locker room.
12.
No jewelry permitted of any kind in class.
(Ex. earrings, watches, rings, chains)
13.
No cell phones, music players (I pods), cameras.
14.
No harassment or bulling of any kind.
No pants drooping.
15.
Personal hygiene is very important
. we highly recommend you shower after class.
16.
The goal of the physical education department is to achieve a moderate level of fitness, learn and have fun
17.
Being dressed and refusing to participate in any activity is not considered participation. Ex: a) walking the mile in 15-20 min. b) not participating in warm-up exercises at the beginning of each class.
* These will all result in a 5pt deduction per class period.
18. Comply with the rules and regulations of the physical education department. Grades can be affected by misuse of these rules.
19. Class time has been taken to explain the guidelines and you have been given a copy. To be fair to all students, please do not ask for special favors or considerations.
* These guidelines are reviewed and students are given a copy at the beginning of each marking peroid.
