Summer School Information
Summer School Information is available in the Guidance Office in May. Students who have failed courses (core courses and/or elective courses) should see their counselor to find out what summer school option is best for them. Currently, CHS students may attend the following summer school programs to make-up credits:
-
Central High School Summer School Program (varies year to year; check with counselor)
-
Keystone Credit Completion Program (varies year to year; check with counselor)
-
Altoona Area High School Summer School Program
-
Hollidaysburg Area High School Summer School Program
-
Claysburg Area High School Summer School Program
Details regarding costs and dates of summer school classes as well as application packets are available in the guidance office.
Credit Recovery
In some cases, students may need to recover credits for reasons such as school transfer, multiple courses failures, or for students on homebound instruction. In these circumstances, the student needs to work closely with the counselor to find a course/credit recovery program best suited for the student. Options are available by seeing the guidance counselors.
