Proposed Team Guidelines

1. The CHS Learning Team will meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 2:35 until 3:35 p.m. in the CHS Library.
2. Agendas will be prepared by the Learning Team Chairperson and will be distributed at least three days prior to the meeting.
3. The team will focus on improving student learning. (Lighting the lamp of education)
4. The team will strive for group consensus on issues. However, when issues are time-sensitive in nature, a vote may be used to reach a decision.
5. The team will serve as an advisory body for building decisions, realizing that the administration and school board have the final authority.
6. The team will make recommendations to the Department Chairs and Administration regarding issues that may impact the entire district.
7. Membership is open to any faculty member willing to serve on the team. No limit is set on years of membership. However, members must attend the initial meeting for the year and make a commitment to remain on the team for the entire school year.
8. Department Chairs will represent CHS at the District Department Chair Meetiungs.
9. Parents are encouraged to be part of the team and will be recruited through advertisement at 9th grade orientation meetings and open houses as well as by direct recruitment of suggested parents.
10. Students are welcome to bring concerns and suggestions to the meeting.
11. A team member will record the minutes of the meeting. These minutes will be typed and distributed to the membership within one week of the meeting.
