Mrs. Shoemaker’s Discipline Policy
Expected behavior in my classroom:
1. Be respectful of others -- this means that you treat others kindly at all times with your actions and your words.
2. Walk in the halls and in the classroom.
3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
4. Bring the appropriate materials to class each day.
5. Always put forth your best effort.
Consequences for breaking a rule:
1. First time – warning and reminder of the rule.
2. Second time – lose five minutes of recess.
3. Third time -- lose ten minutes of recess.
4. Fourth time – lose all recess and parent is notified by phone or note. Student will probably be removed from the room if behavior is distracting others from learning.
5. Fifth time or severe behavior– student will be removed immediately from the room, principal will be notified and parents will be notified by a phone call from the student and myself.
Consequences of good behavior:
1. Verbal and/or written praise.
2. Small rewards (stickers, ect.)
3. Written note home.
